84 T-Type rear ?

Found a 84 T-type for sale. Haven't looked at it but was wondering if it has the 8.5 rear? I am waiting for a call back and to set up a time to go check it out.

I actually got my 8.5 from a T-type regal, not sure the exact year. The junkyard guy who was normally an extremely rude person, who systematically charged waay too much for his parts after I pull them myself, had no idea what rear it was. I asked him how much $$ for a rear from the old buick regal in the weeds, he said $125, and I very quickly got some tools and removed it. I ended up with a 3.42 8.5" open rear. It was probably the best deal in all my parts findings. The other 8.5 we have came from (I think) a Hurst/Olds and we paid $750 for it. This one has 3.73 gears, open also. We installed a locker.

Thanks but the guy hasn't called me back... 🙁 I am hoping he would to see if i NEED it as another project. :lol: I have been wanting a Turbo Regal for a while.
