So I've got an 85 Cutlass with the factory 5 band Equalizer. the clock display won't shut off. I've looked for a replacement radio, I keep seeing one's with green display. My radio has an orange display.

Any one else have a factory 85 radio with an orange display? I've owned it since 94, so I think it's original.

Believe the orange (red ) display was in Pontiac's, assume someone changed the radio. Radio should be the same color as the rest of your dash lights.

The display is definitely orange, and not red like Pontiac's, it may have been replaced, but it does match the window sticker for the 5 band equalizer option. I had one place quote me $125 to fix it. I've been shutting the battery off at night, but that get's old too.

Here's a picture of it. It has Delco GM on the faceplate. Anyone have a similar radio?

That radio is either the factory one, or the exact replacement. Orange, woefully so, was the color of the graphic display for the equalizer style. I bought my 85 442 new and that's the same exact radio that's in it. Sucky as it is.

Agreed. I don't understand why Olds thought amber looked good when the rallye pack lighting was greenish blue. They finally got it right in 87' when they changed it to match the rest of the lighting.

I have one with a bad tape deck
