I have an 85 Cutlass Supreme Brougham. and I have some questions as to what these are called, I've color coded them to identify them better. the first is in the red box. I don't know If I've ever seen another cutlass with this option. It's a stainless piece that attaches with screws at the bottom of the rockers. the piece has holes for the screws which line up to holes already drilled in the rockers. I got this piece of my 81 parts cutlass supreme. is that just a dress up piece? I'm also looking for new chrome strips for the front and back bumper covers. I seen some on ebay awhile back but didn't have the money for them at the time. does anyone know where to get these pieces? and since it's a brougham, the car was offered with the chrome rocker panel trim. I have all the trim except for on the passenger side fender, the front piece that meets up with the bumper. anyone have one for sale or know where I can get one? and the clips to attach it with? and I'm a fan of the "blue box" item also. I know there are aftermarket door trim but they require you to drill holes in the sheetmetal which I don't want to do. Anyone know where I can find some like GM used? I removed all the ones on the car but they are pretty rough and have sun damage to them. The do serve a purpose to prevent door dings and I like the lines it adds to the otherwise plain body thanks

I've seen the chrome rocker panels here and there online, including eBay. Also, junkyards often will have them still on. Sorry, I don't know of any consistent supplier of them or a NOS/repro source.

If you find out where to get the original GM style door bump strips, let me know! All I've found is the screw-on type that you mentioned and mine is in pretty bad shape, too.

Well, the ding strips are in the middle of the doors, and the wide trim pieces on the bottoms of the door, fenders and quarters are usually called rocker moldings, byt they really are not on the rockers. The bumper chrome pieces were VERY pricey when you could find them new ( $100 a set for the back bumper alone!). My solution was to find a somewhat good set of them on usable bumper covers, and swap covers when painting the car. I am painting mine 2003 Mercedes Benz silver, which is a very fine metallic and looks like it will be pretty close to stock looking when cleared. This is part of a whole paint job on my car though, so it may not apply to your situation. As for new ding strips, I dunno what to tell you. I removed mine as I think they break up the lines of the car. The trim clips are a NOS item, but almost impossible to find. I have a complete set I bought years ago when they were still available. You could get lucky and find a dealer with a set, otherwise you need to pull them from a junkyard car. Push up on the spring part with the bottom of the trim piece, and then the top will unlock and the trim will come off.

I bought a set of these a while back... although I haven't put them on my car yet, as I was saving them along with a collection of other nos parts I've gathered for when it comes time to repaint my car. They look to be of good quality.

I have a set but decided not to use them. They are too shiny to look proper, and lack the peak in the middle of the strip. I would probably sell them for $30 if I can figure out how to use Paypal for it.
