85 cutlass trim looks dull

Your in the same boat as most of us I'm thinking...I also went and tried that never dull stuff and it looks good for a very very short time.....I think the only answer is to have it re-chromed...That's what I am going to look into..I hear it's pretty pricey though.... 8)

Try Blue Magic, you just scrub on and buff off, it'll take forever but it should work, made my bumpers look brand new.

i used a can of coke and a cotton sock to make my chrome brighter lol

Found it at the local parts store...somewhere between 5-10 bucks for the jar

I read somewhere that oven cleaner will remove the anodizing and after a good polishing it will bring back the shine... If i would try that, remove the anodizing, polish the crap out of the trim and then seal it with Zoops sealant to make it last... 8) The parts i would think to bring back the shine would be the stainless steel rocker trim. I tried to polish it and no matter how much elbow grease i put in it it didn't make a difference.. :|

No not really but i do have some extra trim i would be willing to try the process on... 😀 The stainless steel trim would be the issue...

Actually, my chrome polish in a can is called "pink magic". The longer you rub the polish into the chrome/stainless the beter it comes out.

so what will take the coating off???? im having the same issue and i was going to just have em painted body color but id rather keep em shiny. i dont mine polishing but i cant get the coating off
