I just got a really great deal on a complete running drop in 67 olds 330. I was wondering if anybody has done this before and was the swap a easy drop. Can it be done and how. Post some pics also, also will the 2 speed transmission bolt back up to the driveshaft?

I have a heavily built 330 in my 87 Salon, but haven't finished the install.
Used the factory motor mounts, and everything went in just like the 307 came out. Don't know about the Jetaway transmission bolting up, as I put a 200-4R in mine. You will have more headaches than I did, since you are going from a v6, but shouldn't be much. The 330 goes in just like a 350 would, so you can search out threads for the Olds 350 swap, as well.

Wow, that is a really nice looking 330 Olds. Nicely done.

The Jetaway transmission is a POS 2 speed transmission. It is not the same as a 2 speed powerglide and has very limited performance application. I had one that came with an engine I purchased. I thought it would appeal to some restoration guys but I couldn't give it away and ended up scrapping it out. You would be better off going with a 2004R which is correct for your car and would bolt in without modifications with the right cross member. I have read that a jetaway shares the same physical dimensions as a TH200 and TH350 but requires a switch for the kick down like a TH400. Good luck

Thanks, Anubis. Its been off the road for 8 years..long story, but with work, and 3 kids and a wife, time and money have been scarce. I actually was able to run the lights and turn the starter over a rime or two last week....first time in 8 years. I have wiring and plumbing basically left.

Papabearxl. Where did you get those accessory brackets and pulleys?? Those are nice..... 😀

Thanks. Got them.at Summit. They are March Ultra kit, labelled for the Olds 350. I think the part number is 16020??? Id have to check, but the rest of the information.is correct. You can go Summit and search for March then.narow.it down to.the Olds 350.

They should work for my big block then just have to get longer belts. My engine looks just like yours I love the gold paint!! Mines a rebuilt 1967 E block 400 came out of a 67 442.
