This is my 86 T that I have owned for 17 years now, just got it finished up from a 10 year redo on everything, body/paint, engine and trans. Wasn't planning on 10 years off the road but life gets in the way, kids, house, etc. Here's some pics

And then this happened to me Sept 9, 2011. Had a guy run through an intersection and smoke the side of my car with a Toyota FJ Cruiser, I got the worst of it thanks to his 1/8 plate winch bumper. Oh well now I get to redo the body again and try something different with the paint.

sucks about the gash, especially on a 10 year build.

I would be sick after yrs of rebuilding. But at least you seem to be keeping a positive outlook. Good luck with the bodywork and repaint post some pics of the new look when done.

I was sick when it happened and did want to give the guy that hit me a good crack but figured that wouldn't get my car fixed any quicker. One good thing is that the cop that showed up said that the guy that hit me was 100% at fault so I am letting his insurance company pay me to fix my own car 😀 . I am a bodyman/painter by trade. I have all the bodywork done to the car and am just letting the primer dry up. Should have it painted by tomorrow night. Will post up some after pics once it is back together.

wow that gash looks nasty bro is going to be expensive on body work ?
The estimate for repairs is right around $2600. The gash was nasty but it did come out really nice and I didn't have to use alot of fill to get it straight.

Hopefully have some pics up in the next few days.

wow lookin forward to the pictures. how long did it take you to get it fixed up.
