HI ALL, I'm new to the forum and had a ? About tires on my 86 SS. I was wondering what everyone thinks is the best tire to put on the rear to give it a good look and stance? I have a set of 15x8 rim for the rear and 15x4 for the front. Stock suspension. Would love to get everyone's in put! Thanks!

What are you planning to do with the car? What are your expectations for it to go around corners? 8 " rear with 4" front work for straight line driving, 275/60/15 or 255/60/15 rear 205/70/15 front would look nice with the wheel combo.

Welcome to the forum. 255/60/15 will fit well on the rear depending on the backspacing of your wheels. Will 275 fit the rear without notching the frame?

I ran 245/60 on the front and 275/60 on the rear on my old 15 x 8 ARE rims with 4" of backspace and no issues.
This was before I notched my frame.

It's a 4 1/2 back spacing. U think it would work with the 275/60/15?

I think that would be cutting it close depending on the amount of sidewall bulge you have. I would think 4" backspacing would be better.
