You are about where i am ....

I dropped off the block yesterday at the machine shop ....
Assembly should start soon but i think im going to hold up a couple months and save for some eddy alum heads ..
$2200 is alot of money but i want the most out of my 400 ...

Use 301 mounts. No "reasonable" priced headers available.
 
Been a long time not a lot of progress. Found a th350 out of a trans am and acquired the 301 mounts. I'll most likely put a gforce crossmember in so I can run duals. Otherwise waiting on exhaust manifolds, intake, and swapping the cam while the engine is out. The goal is to get the power of a classic gto while fitting under the stock hood....for now. Any recommendations for cams?
