well i've made some progress since my last update..i've since pretty much finished up my motor..still some things to finish up but the long block is done..here's the play by play..
i had to put some color on the short block first..i ended up rolling with GM Corporate Blue which was close to the original color.
After removing the masking tape and bags this is what she was looking like..
Put a coat of bare metal gray on the Summit Vortec heads..
Installed the heads, studs, lifters and rockers and set the valve lash per the Comp Cam instructions..
And here's how she looks now..i've since pressed on the balancer and dropped the distributor in but haven't snapped any new shots..but she's lookin good..hopefully i'll have her installed in the next two weeks when more money falls off my tree!
She's .030 over with summit hypereutectic pistons, polished stock crank, Eagle SIR i-beam connecting rods, summit vortec heads, performer rpm vortec intake, holley 3310 750cfm carb, summit distributor, ceramic flowtech headers ..going with the march v-belt setup to wrap it all up..i'll be updating this every few days because it's crunch time from now until late january. Jeah!!
