If all goes well I'm gettin a 87 or 88 Cutlass with t-tops, center console/buckets, Chevy 4bolt 350/th350 w/ Hurst shift kit. The rear bumper has a rust hole, but comes with a replacement and also comes with a holley 650! I will post pics as soon as I get it. Which hopefully will be tonight. It hasn't been started for two years but supposedly ran when parked. The price is right tho!

Re: Gettin a new cutlass this weekend

look over it real good.i just got a 87'monte ss that look good, but rusted to hell.

Re: Gettin a new cutlass this weekend

I did end up gettin it but most of the brake lines leak! Got most replaced. Hopefully this next one is the last cuz I wanna drive her! Also can anyone tell me what needs to be swapped out to get rid of the euro headlight panel. Someone told me the hood and fenders are all different but it looks like just the headlight panel and maybe the bumper filler. Any help would be appreciaed

Re: Gettin a new cutlass this weekend

If only getting a "NEW" Cutlass was possible. lol good luck with the car and hopefully it doesn't have any more rust!

Re: Gettin a new cutlass this weekend

The only difference in the front end is the header panel aka headlight panel and the bumper filler also the headlight wireing harness is different. As far as fenders and the hood they are the same. Good luck with car.

Re: Gettin a new cutlass this weekend

LOL, well new to me anyhow. Thanks chevy2480 for the info. Unfortunately theres quite a bit of rust. Especially the rear frame rails. I think the brake leaks are all taken care of now. I'm becoming a pro at bending and flaring! I tried to drive it around the block and could figure out why it wouldnt stay running unless I fill the float bowl. When I got it back in the shop i figured out the tank was empty. lol, but the old owner suppossedly just put 5 gallons in it. I guess not. I'll get pics up soon I hope.

Re: Gettin a new cutlass this weekend

isnt the euro clip the correct corresponding piece to the vehicle? I have the same car w/ euro and it looks very nice always gets compliment why switch to the model incorrect lights?! Am I missing some piece of info here My lights have never dimmed or failed so far is it cheaper on bulbs or something Im confused :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

Re: Gettin a new cutlass this weekend

I just like the look of the older grilles and headlights. The euro clip is growin on me and yeah its the correct clip. This car needs sooooo much work, but I finally got my t-top bucket seat gbody! Still bendin up new brake line and need to repair or replace the gas tank. Does anyone know of a place to get plastic fuel tanks for these cars? Also I am runnin a 350 chevy, and I need a air cleaner for it. I have the stock manifold and q-jet. The Edelbrock drop base seems to hit the throttle linkage and without a drop base the lid is hittin the hood with a 3" filter. What do I need exectly to run a 3" filter under the stock hood? If I can.

Re: Gettin a new cutlass this weekend

I like the old style headlights in mine but I think I would change mine to the 87 look if I could find a nice front clip but everyone wants an arm and a leg for them and most of them are cracked I would trade you straight up for my clip if I didn't just repaint mine last year. That's too bad that u didn't buy this car a year ago

Re: Gettin a new cutlass this weekend

I have all my brake lines done. Now I just need to bleed them. I put a kickdown bracket in too. For some reason it wasn't hooked up. I also installed a clear fuel filter and rubber fuel line. Put on new cap rotor and plug wires. IDK about plugs tho. It looks like I might have to unbolt the headers to get to a couple of them. After i I get the brakes bled I'm gonna drop the tank and hopefully get a new one soon and maybe finally drive her.
