A-arm pivot bolt removal

I had one bolt stick on my lower control arms on my 442 when I rebuilt everything.
Tried soaking it for days, tried the air hammer... it was fused in there.

No torch at home, so I ended up grinding off the head of the bolt as well as the chunk of threads poking through the other side.
I then used my dremel to dig in and grind more out, until I was finally able to get it free.
What a pain in the *ss.

Put some grease on the new bolt when you put it back together, so in case you have to take it apart again, you don't run into the same problem.

I work at a front end shop, and we either burn them out, we use carbide grinding bits to grind into the frame opening and then pull the arm out and get the bolt/bushing out/apart from there, or my favorite way is to use an air hammer with a chisel bit, get inbetween the arm and the frame and try to get at the collar in the middle of the bushing, give it a few good whoopins and it should break free from the bolt, if it doesnt come loose that way im afraid you'll hafta cut em out with a torch or other cutting tools. hope some of this helps.
