image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg hey guys, just had a quick question. I ordered an AC delete panel from Jegs a couple weeks ago as I plan on removing all the AC and heat components today. I never actually opened the package until today and when I did I noticed that one side is bent up. At first I thought it was supposed to be like that. Then I noticed that there was a note on the box from the delivery guy that said "is this product damaged?" And then his name and phone number below it. This guy drops off a lot of stuff to my house and I've gotten to know him over time so I'm thinking maybe he saw something happen to it and is doing me a solid.

Anyways, I'll add a couple pics of it and was hoping you guys could tell me if it was supposed to be like that? Even if it's not supposed to be bent I can always just bend it back into shape. I still want to know if I received a damaged product either way though.

Thanks a lot in advance!

It is supposed to be flat.

I would also consider contacting Jegs to possibly get a replacement, chances are if you try to flatten it you will still have a slight bend or crease showing.

thanks for the info. You're right though, even if I try and straighten it out, it'll Still have a crease showing so I'm just going to return it. There no point in spending all this time smoothing and cleaning the firewall up just to put in a creased delete panel.

Thanks again

I would leave it as is, if you try to bend it back into shape as you pointed out there will still be a crease and then they may try to claim that you were the one who caused the damage. You have a great delivery guy and he deserves a drink....

He definitely deserves a drink. I called him yesterday and he told me that as long as I had the original stickers and invoice on the box, he would be able to come pick it up from my house Monday and then claim that I refused the package due to damage when he delivered it. I was pretty surprised because I've had it at my place for a week and a half already. I actually called Jegs after that I told them that I was refusing due to damage and that no issues with it at all. They said when they receive the bent one they will ship out a new one to me asap.

Thanks to the him I am going to avoid some shipping and handling costs and some headache though. He may be just be a candidate for delivery driver of the year at this point lol
