I just put all new components in my 84 monte project.
I want to replace all of the o rings.some of the components came with o rings and some didn't.
I see autozone sells a o ring kit with several sizes in it.
will this be ok?
are the o rings behind the compressor special?

I had bought a kit like you are talking about when I put in some new hoses for my ac. I had some leaks and replaced all the o rings since my system was already open and had no freon in it. Not sure if some retailers o rings better then others. I think I bought mine from OPG online but many others have them.

The kit from the parts store will be fine for connections at the condenser/evaporator/accumulator. If you are running an R4 compressor, you will need the sealing washers for the manifold hose connection. The parts store should have a kit. Different compressors use different thickness washers. If you are running R134A you need the green o-rings.
