As some may know (many have helped) i purchased a 86' mcss rolling shell . it was missing everything up front. now im putting it back together and am wondering if i am missing anything up front. There was no coil there or anything besides the the radiator and now i need to mount the trans cooler there aswell. Any pics or tips are much appreciated. TIA

There is an AC condenser that would go in front of the radiator as well as an evaporator core that goes in the right rear of the engine bay.

Perfect! I saw that condenser online. Do you know if there’s any specific bracket needed to mount that? I didn’t have any of this stuff on my shell. And the part that goes in the back rear of bay is that inside the black box? I do have the silver tank there.

I sent similar to another this past weekend. You need to get a manual for your car.

Plus Mitchell has a DIY service you can sign up for that is specific for what you own, it's like 20 USD (19.99).

I say this as friend and fellow car person..., having some basic background info, helps weed out some of the other responses you might get from some others that really don't know what they are talking about.

I am running an ls. Looks like stock the lines come out driver side. I am also running a griffin radiator. Would like something that comes out passenger side. Sounds like a 91 camaro can work

Condenser needs to be matched to the compressor, or at least close in capacity to have efficient system.

This is the 91 Camaro system with matching condenser. Mounting tabs are part of the condenser.

This is from LS 5.3 2002 system..

Notice the difference.

Your capacity from one to the next is similar, so it would be expected that the condenser and evaporator core and accumulator that came with the 86 will be ok. Maybe not super ideal from a purist engineer view, but will probably work just fine.

But you also have to match the lines throughout the system.
