I've been eyeballing these upper a-arms because the price is right. My concern is how well will the pivot bearings hold up as opposed to rubber or poly bushings instead. If anyone is using or has used these please chime in.

I just got mine the other day. Theyre nice construction, welds are decent, painted well.

I know they have nylon bushings I believe. I figured if they wear out fast I'll just order some poly bushings that will fit the tube and that will be that.

I remember reading somewhere on here that a guy had them and they would start getting play in them after a year or so.

That's what I was worried about. The streets in Chicago are pretty crappy and they'd take a beating. I may be better off going with stock arms & poly bushings. I'm going to be using the entire Bell-tech set-up (drop spindles, nitro shocks, etc) and wanted to make it all look pretty while I'm at it.

depending on what your price range is Spohn has some very nice ones. i'll be getting my coilover kit with their upper and lowers soon and can post the outcome from them. i have high hopes of them so we will see

jrmotorsports.com quality parts that are probably half the price of what you are going to pay for those

I have been using them for the last couple of years. Those have a solid bearing and you need to grease them often to make them last and expect to change them about once a year depending on the amount of and type of driving you do. I am looking to change them out since I have gone with a tall spindle and tall lower ball joint so I cut an inch out of their length and reweld them. As for their strength we use them on our race cars and they take a beating. I have seen them bend after slamming into the wall but never break

If you were to remove the bearing is the any reason you couldnt sub a poly bushing?

if your talking about the a arm in the picture there is no room for poly bushing.

Really? I mean I know it wouldnt have to much meat to it but it would probably have more life to it than the bearing. Maybe evena delran bushing.

the bearing wall is probably less than 3/16" thick so I don't think a poly bushing would work
