alternator?

Not entirely sure if a higher ampere alternator would be fine. For my Olds 307 my GM service manual indicates 78 Amps. Look for Option code K64 wherever your build code is on your ElCo. I have also heard that you could use alternators from later model year GM cars like from the 3400 or 3800 motors but don't quote me on that

100A would be fine. Although it's a good idea to enlarge your charge wire going to the battery.

That sounds like a pretty good deal... I put the small 1 on my elky and now when i stop at at a light at night WOW the light get real dim, so yea 100 amp sounds good to me.
