Pick up a bottle of White Diamond metal polish if you are looking to restore the polished finish and protect them. I was a huge fan of Mothers but, the White Diamond is easier to use and gives a protective finish that seems to last longer.

It’s a spray that’s acid specifically for cleaning aluminum because of how common it is for it to corrode and become super dirty, I just soaked mine in it for a couple minutes and took and scrub brush to it and it made it like brand new

That's the product. I used it with a Mothers powerball the first time. gets a little messy but the results are worth it. I usually use it by hand ( Micro fiber cloth) twice a season just to maintain the luster.
Letting it dry a few minutes after working into the surface as per the instructions is the key.
