aluminum heads

im wanting to get aluminum heads for my sbc and i was wondering if i can just bolt them on or do i have to get different push rods or what. ive never bought some so i dont know really

Most of 'em are interchangeable with iron. Just bolt 'em on and go.

Alot of them will require .100" longer pushrods. They should state it pretty clearly but just be sure to double check. And get some new bolts. And make sure the head gaskets you get won't hurt the head.

this has been the cause of both nightmares and wet dreams for me lately...im runnin a modified 305 and can't decide if i should spend the $ to go aluminium or a better set of iron
