Wow Dr., looking at the options sheet that was my first G-body, except for color (my Calais was lite blue w/ blue interior) and it had the rallye gauges and windshield antenna. Funny thing was it had the 4.3L (260) V8 but had a TH350. It was 10 years old when I bought it but it was in great shape!!

Bernhard, I found a set of the N78s a couple years ago on eBay, got them for $280 (including shipping). They did not come with the lugs but the paint and finish are pretty decent.

Pretty sure the ralleye pak was standard for the Calais. Mine has them. the rarest part of my car was probably that it came out tou-tone (Y71 I think was the RPO). Jadestone over white and the interior I think was Jadestone. Car was repainted in 98 and the interior replaced with a circa 83 dark blue to match the Corvette metallic blue exterior. Never seen another (non-HO) with N78 rims, nor did I know power buckets even existed on these cars. Mine was sold in OK ... 2nd owner brought it to MO (didn't know until after I bought the car that he had been my neighbor and I do recall the car in the original tou-tone) I bought the car from the 3rd owners (who are fellow memebers of a local car club). We had sat around after I bought it and I mentioned another car in town - I had seen with the N78 rims but it was Jadestone over white ... imagine my surprise when she hands me a stack of photos - it's the same car.

H/O rims were gold accents .... the same wheel was an option in Argent

Ah, so that's where they got the design for the new Hurst Challenger rims? Looks very similar

Could be  . I got them a few summers ago when they were re-posted by the seller. I had been looking for them ever since the Calais. That was the first time I'd ever seen them. Years later when I was driving my W-Body Olds I saw a 78 - 80 Hurst/Olds W30 with them (it was dirty and looking beat but I wanted that car). Hadn't seen a set since I came across the ones I got on eBay. To be honest I was looking for a set of 15 X 7/8 Olds Rallyes as an upgrade.

My Calais was sold here and actually I picked it up from one of my pop's co-workers - she kept it up really well. Had a few upgrades like the radio with the flip front for 8-track  and a couple issues like the infamous works-when-it-wanted driver side power window. It got stolen but VERY luckily got it back, then big bro came back from overseas and gave it to him. We did a '76 Olds 350 swap a couple years after that, the 260 was losing compression bad, dropping daily. Told him if he was going to sell it I wanted it back, or at least the wheels and I'd just swap my '66 Impala for it - of course he sold it and didn't tell me. Hopefully it's still roaming down in Indy somewhere. It was my 2nd car, first Cutlass.

I've been lucky with all my Cutlasses - they were all originally bought by women and they kept them up, including the paperwork.

these wheels look pretty cool but i still like the 15*7 SSII, i really want a set
