Another season is over...

Yep,I put the Monte in winter storage today,I wont be seeing her again until next spring 😢 I put almost 3100 miles on it this summer,and no major break downs.Got a couple of big upgrades done,new body bushings and new front end goodies,and a whole bunch of little preventative maintenance type of jobs done,fluids all changed,distributor tune up,hood release cable,new front tires ,etc...

You might know that the day after I put my Monte away,the price of gas dropped over 6 cents a litre,roughly 27 cents a gallon. 😢

Did you park it due to weather?. I get to drive my GP for another month or so usually. The gas here dropped here to 9 cents in the last 4-5 days. That's a 33 cents a US gallon drop so it's $4.38 a gallon now, it's not cheap

GP - Guy works in the oilpatch for the winters. I have 1 friend who left for Fort Mac last week and 2 others planning on leaving before the snow flies. If I didnt have kids I would be heading out as well.

Ah well, at least I got to drive my car to work today.

Yep,its almost time to go back to work out west for the season,thats why I put the Monte away when I do.Steve,I think gas is $ 1.30 per litre here now,but it was close to 1.50 for a while.And yes,I do have an inddoor storage place,really well looked after and the price is reasonable,$ 110.00 for the winter season.And I know the Monte is safe while I'm gone,one less thing to worry about.

$110 for the season is more than reasonable. I have a client who owns a garage so I get to park my jeep there in the summer and my GP in the winter and get to use the lift and shop at off hours. The fuel here is now $117 per litre so your getting hosed

Oh I know we are getting hosed,but its 10 cents a litre cheaper in Alberta than what you are paying ...Its nice to have the use of a shop & hoist,I get to use my buddy's if he isnt too busy.Next year the exhaust will be getting tucked up close to the floor so I can get those springs in.
