Does anyone have any pictures of a 225/60/15 and/or a 235/60/15 tire mounted on a 15X8.5 rim? I'm getting tires soon and will be going with one of these sizes for the front on my GrandPrix. I want to go with the 225, but I'm concerned that it might look weird on an 8.5 rim.
Thanks

235/60 looks a little stretched on an 8 in wheel. 255 however looks good.

the rear tire is about the equivalent to a 255/60/15 in this pic, on an 8 or 8.5 wheel (don't remember exact size). I( don't have any pics of when I had 235's out back, I didn't care for it though. they look good on the front with a 7 inch wheel though.

235/60 front, 245/60 rear (7 inch wheel though).

Thanks for the pics. This is going to be for the front, so I don't think I want too wide. That's why I was thinking 225 or 235. I'll be going with a 275/60/15 for the rear tires. The issue is that I already have the rims from another project, they fit on the car and into my low budget plan :) I would go with a 225, but don't want them to look stretched on the rim. Decisions, decisions.....

Yeah the 225 would definitly be a stretch on an 8.5 wheel, 235 doesn't look too bad though, probably look decent on the front, I had them on the rear at one point, kinda looked a little small.

I was debating it because I was not too sure if it would be too wide on the front. The front rims have 225/50/15 tires on them right now, but they just don't look right. I still would not mind seeing a pic of a 235 on an 8.5 rim. I attached a pic of what it looks like with 225/50/15 fronts and 295/50/15 rears. The tires are shot, so I will not be running this set.

will 275 one the rear with a 8" wheel rub the frame?

That's a 295/50/15 with an 8.5" rim on the rear right now. There's almost 1/2" of room between the frame and the wheel. If I ran this setup, I would have to roll or cut away the edge on the quarter. I've been told a 275/60/15 should fit on the rear no problem.

Well, I got them mounted yesterday: 275/60/15 rears and 235/60/15 fronts on 8.5" rims all around. They fit without issue, but the fronts hit the inside of the fenderwell if a hit a speed bump. They sit almost flush with the edge of the front fender. My suspension needs a good going through, so hopefully it will be a little better with some new shocks. I'll post pics of the new setup soon.

Here are some pics. The front hit when ever I went over a good sized bump. Turns out my front shocks were shot so I replaced them, but it still made some contact. I ended up cutting out the steel panel above the front tires and rolling back the fender edge. It's all good now :D
