Dont need a mark on it to get an extra couple of buxx, that I'll just have to give them back triple when the rise my rates

It’s certainly possible and unfortunately the claim will appear if you shop companies and will effect you in that way as well your best bet is to contact the adjuster and inquire the offer dispute process and what info can be provided because you believe a higher offer is in order.

OK here is a question for you.

Im stopped in traffic and get rear ended

Other driver claims he sneezed and floored the gas pedal

His insurgence company sends an appraiser and they total out the car.

The appraisal report comes in they compare it to 3 other similar cars "LOCAL" to my area.

Average sale price of the 3 other cars with higher mileage is 2200-2400.

Two of the cars they compare it to are in another state 70 miles away.

They offer me $1500 minus a $200 salvage fee because i get to keep my totaled car.

So $1300 to me

They call me up and say hey thats a really fair offer so all you have to do is say OK and we will sand you out the check.

I tell them no I dont think thats a good deal and the offer is no where near what the appraisal report states.


So what are my options???

something similar happened to me, in Ontario you have to deal with your own insurance company but when they offered me an amount and said the damage was too much to repair I told them I didn't accept the offer. I provide them a list of what options my car had and the repaiirs I made in the last year and gave them an option, either find a "new" 80's GP with T tops, pay to have it repaired or pay me out based on the estimate I got. Long story short they ended up paying me $3,800 which was close to the estimate and I kept the car.

if you are going to do it on your own feel free to pm me and I can help you set up your case, you will want to have a certified appraiser to access the damages. The appraiser of the insurance company is not an independant appraiser so their appraisal is usually not considered a bona fide appraisal

You don’t need a forged one you just need an appraiser from the gbody community so they know exactly how much of a pain in the *ss it is to locate some parts and how much more than book these cars should be valued.

Chances are you won’t actually be seeing them in court rather in mediation but they may do court who knows.

Got 2 subpoena's today for the insurance company and the owner of the vehicle.

Now just have to wait for the County to serve them and set a date.
