now that i think of it, it would be really hard to push the cigarette lighter and turn the key at the same time, so i'm deciding on a new unspoken place to put the button.

86CLCruiser- what does spdt and the different numbers mean? are those just the different wires? i don't even know where the ignition harness is 😳 are there any websites that give step by step directions?

sorry for all the questions

Why not pop the hood and take the coil wire off its free and easy. The best insurance you can afford is best nothing stops a tow truck a snatch truck can have your car and be gone in 30 sec.

SPDT is electrical-speak for "Single Pole Dual Throw". It describes the way a switch functions. As for the numbers, they look to be the labels of the circuits on a common DIN relay.

SPDT stands for single pole double throw. Just means it can be used with 1 output with 2 seperate inputs. The numbers are actually on the bottom of the relay

your starter wire shold be a purple 12awg wire in the ignition harness. The ignition harness run down the steering column from the ignition switch.
