There are a lot of first drive thrills, the first unaccompanied drive after getting your licence, first drive of your first car, first drive of your dream car (G Body or whatever, all gearheads would feel the same).

My first drive of my Cutlass wagon was memorable as I'd bought it as parts car so took a rope and bunch of tools in a friends car, it drove fine and my friends car broke down following me home , just as well we'd brought the tools!.

Yeah, I remember driving my first Regal home. It was a near mint '78, medium blue with white top and interior buckets & floor console. Got it in 1991 for $200!! Slapped plates on it for the 20 mile ride home praying I didn't get pulled over. Loved every minute of it. Wish I had pictures of it.
