I used some led bulbs from APC I think. Bought them a few years back and they had the proper wedge base, just had to make sure polarity was right.
I don't know if these are still available from APC or not, haven't seen them around.
The light from them is good, but the factory bulb locations are lacking. I believe I did some careful trimming of the factory guages to allow more light.

also, check on ebay. A lot of Chinese make all kinds of variants of LED lighting. Most of them are made for dashes resistor included! Keyword to use would be like dash led or just LED.

Ya, APC went out of business. Thankfully.

I have superbright LED's in my auto gages and the have 5 LEDs per bulb . they fit right into were the standard bulb is. but i found that you can dim the LEDs with a factory dimmer but you can buy the right one from autometer. i got one but havent put it in yet. my gages are black face with white letter and it doesnt seem to me like the light is concentrated in one place. but i i guess if you were to get the LEDs for a factory dash panel you probly would be able to see right were the are scuffing them might help. they are way bright i and i would reomend doing this on top of looking cool it makes them easier to read. my bulbs are blue to by the way

i used some single blue leds that i got off of ebay for like 10 bucks but they didnt light up nearly enough so they came back out. if you do it get the brighter multiple led ones.

Here's some pics of my cluster.

thats pretty sick! did you have to recalibrate the speedo? i would do that but i got some dakota digitals for the regal waiting to go in

Wow those Buick gauges look sweet. But I don't think the result would be as good on a black faced gauge like in my Malibu. Anyone got any pics of that?

Thanks i did have to recalibrated and going digital is always nice but expensive.

what was the cost for recalibrating? i looked into it before the digitals and i have a buddy talking about it. where did the overlay come from? i do not have that much into my digitals but its taken me 3 years to collect all of mine, i have the dakota digital odyssey series, its a nice deal but they are universal rather tehn a direct fit like i wanted
