I scraped the foam out and filled it with auto caulking, took me all of 15 minutes; nothing to shoot myself in the head about. I'm gonna be re- redoing the WHOLE car in about 2-3 years, so if the caulk I used last that long, God help us all.

didnt mean like literally shoot your self in the head because of it... ive had alot of headaches because of the great stuff expanding foam... from cab corners and inner outer rocker panels and floor boards on cars and trucks. and you have a nice car and spending alot of time and money on like like we all do in the long run its cheaper to do it right the first time. ya kno??

I know what ya mean- thanks for the compliment on my car, can't wait till I get paint on it this upcoming spring.

Great Stuff: Ruining cars one at a time. Use the correct stuff, expanding foam has no business in bodywork. Years later repairs like these tend to come back and bite you (or the next owner). Fiberglass is another terrible idea. Replace metal with metal, weld it together, and use the proper seam sealer (it's not that expensive). I'm on the tail end of a major panel replacement project on my firebird because some previous owners decided to cheap out and use fiberglass, bondo, expanding foam, and some other "superior" materials to fix rust and do bodywork. Do it right, do it once, you won't have any regrets later.
