I just swapped my LS engine into my 83 Hurst/Olds. I do not know anything about wiring, and I need help. If anyone could come help me this weekend i would pay them.

Sure I can help you. My flight from Michigan to Nebraska will be $1400 and I charge $25 per hour plus a case of beer. 😱 You'll likely be better off buying a plug and play harness. Depending on your configuration, it could cost anywhere from $700-$1500. Spend some time searching on LS1tech.com. There are several vendors there who do a nice job for a reasonable price.

time is money, spend some time researching what you need to do and along with saving money you'll learn something which could be real helpful not only now but in the future as well...

I am color deficient and i cannot tell the colors of the old wires that are dull and have dirt on them.

If your wires are still in the pcm connectors all you need to do is label each wire with the pinout number and if it's either in the blue or red connector. It's takes alot of time, but you could save 700 dollars and invest it somewhere in your car. I'am a beginner in auto mechanics and I tackled this as one of my first big projects and it turned out fine. It's an intimidating task but it get's easier as you get in a rhythm. As for figuring out which wires to delete just look that up online!

If you're colorblind I understand your request.......I'm an engineer by trade, have a background in electronics and actually enjoy these types of projects so with a lot of patience, I plan on making my own harness. As noted, there is a lot of info online that can help you. A few good places to start are LT1swap.com and LS1tech.com There are schematics on LT1swap.com showing pin out configurations, what is needed and what can be removed. I hope your project turns out well. The turn key harnesses I mentioned earlier are an easy, quick solution and they use new, quality connectors. Post some pics of your 83 Hurst and keep us posted! See links below.

then please disregard my suggestion, my father was color blind and he used that as excuse not to buy a color tv when they first came out....🙁

and to the person who rated the op's post as dumb how about removing that rating....

Does anyone know about the gauges in my 83 hurst? I need to find out how to wire then since i got rid of the old ecm. I am going to wire the sensors directly to the gauges but i need to know if the gauges are 12 volt or if the voltage was different when the ecm was in there?
