how balls deep are you going? I can post some pictures of the frame mods i did on my chassis, info was hard to find but im fresh off it if you have any qs lemme know, I also know where you can take your body and chassis to get acid dipped if youre going balls to the walls resto, check if the body bushing mount holes rotted through on the body and chassis, thats really common and imo is a must fix. This is maximum notch possible without moving body bushing locations and the required reinforcement with 1/4" plate to compensate. Im a fabricator by trade but theres nothing a non industry dude cant do here tbh. sh*t was still just tacked before anyone commentsI finally got the car home. I am tearing into it. pics posted soon.
I do have rust to deal with already have rear seats and trunk stripped out.
not too bad, but lots of work to do.
I'm not getting that deep, I'm more of a backyard mech. lol. I have searched for a long time to find a G body I can Repair. solid bones. just a couple of ribs need help. lol.how balls deep are you going? Thanks man! 30x13-1/2 was the goal originally which i know is do-able. I will post more once its all together should be in the next few months. Am doing body welding and tubs currently will let you know how much i could cram in there. 33x14 would be a dream i got a ford 9 with a detroit locker at 4.11 that would make them sing. the radius is np but the tread might be to ambitious. These are pics of how deep the notch is you really cant go any further. I had the separated parts on jigs until i reconnected everything. Saved pics of whole process, i want to do a full out write up and how to on the process with the best geometry and reinforcement to clear any myths once and for all. thats once i have the car done and see the net results though so i can clearly state doing x will get you y tire width.Riddick, your chassis work looks pretty good. you should have room for some wide rear rubber with that frame notch.
