That is what I have found out...electrical parts are outrageous. I would like to get it going, but I am not gonna sink a crapload of money into it.....may part it out, who knows.

See if you can pick up a parts bike they're usually quite cheap 150-200 bucks, then you get a lot of spares. Maybe you'd get super lucky and get a set of better carbs, some 29mm FCR Keihin round slides are worth 10-15 hp on those bikes. I was going to get a set for mine but they were too expensive new, and very rare to find used.
