yeah im gonna try it to see if i like it. if i dont like it i got 3 ford 9in housing and a 3rd member with 3.55s sittin around. im sure i can fab up some brackets and make it fit. the ford 3rds member has a posi alredy. i drove my buddys car for a week last year cuz he said it was actin up so he left it with me. his is a 78malibu with minispool and no power steering and it wasnt that bad. just parking it in a lot was a pita but as far as turning and handling it was just like my ford with a posi.
you will love the ford 9" in your car i have one with rear disk and it rocks !

i thought about a mini spool before but then i remembered i dont like wearing my tires out prematurely simply because i make turns in my car.

i want a ford 9" rear with disc brakes now, good upgrades all around with that i think.

are they heavier than the 10 bolt? im thinking yes.

If you have a friend that work's at a used tire shop go for the mini spool, If not stick to posi . Four of my friends run mini spools on there cars, but they are pedal happy every two weeks at the tire shop changing tires for $15 each side

I ran a cheap mini spool in my 7.5 and I just killed the Mini spool (it was soft) other than that I didnt have any problems. I"m running a full spool in my 9" ford and i drive my car to work work 5 days a week and race it on the weekends. tight turns are a little rough but i ddint really notice it other than that. and it goes is a straight line way better 🙂
