Not really helpful, but I had a 2005 Chevy 2500HD 4L80E/lQ4 6.0L 4x4 brand new, 5 seat full four door whatever they called it. It ran awesome, hauled *ss for a completely stock truck. Was fully loaded, almost every option, except I had cloth seats not leather. Audio was great, good speakers, auto volume control that went up with speed. Loved that truck.

That said I was 18 and it got repo'd because I couldn't keep up with the payments.

Had quality issues though, the glove box would pop open over bumps sometimes. The grab bar on the dash had big ugly gaps. The dash itself was cheap hollow sounding plastic.

I liked my OBS Ford F250 7.3 powerstroke diesel trucks better overall. They didn't ride as comfortable, but you can't beat the torque of a big loud V8 turbo diesel.

I can't chime in as I own an 09 F150 2wd, 130k reg cab 4.6. will say that I've had it pretty much since new and still haven;t had an electrical issue with it yet, and no rust.

found these on the local CL for you though, so you can gauge pricing..

most of these are dealers,so private pricing will be just a little lower. I've tried to find the 4wd/non crewcab like you're looking for, but most standard cab and extended cab trucks are usually 2wd or v-6 trucks it seems. good luck on your search, I've kinda had the luxury or forgetting how a car can rust out in just a few years, and honestly, I wouldn't have bought the wagon if it had been a 2 or 4 dr...

So, you never got to the point of every fluid line under the truck needing replaced; consider yourself lucky.

No, but those 14 quart oil changes on a powerstroke aren't a picnic either. The oil filter alone holds an enormous amount, trying to pre fill it and put it back on was always a treat. 😂

Tbss are sweet but im not sure I want to deal with 11 mpg 😛

My other complaint with gmt900's and everyone else, they got rid of rockers!!

Rockers should be UNDER the door to protect it and take dirt, rock chips and other damage, not behind the door. Covering the rocker with the door skin looks good since it hides the rust but then the door rusts and gets dented.

Dodges haven't had rockers under the door since 02 and Ford probably the same. At least gm went back to putting rockers under the door for 14+.
