Auburn spider gears - HELP

OK. I just talked to Auburn directly. 541011 spider gear kit will fit all factory 7.5 GM Auburn units EXCEPT the split case unit which is an early style unit. They make nothing for that unit. Coincidentally that is what I have and now the plot thickens. I need spider gears for a split case Auburn 😭

Chuck that Auburn. They are not user friendly for repairing. I understand wanting to fix it on the cheap, but I'm quite sure you're in the 'good luck' spot right now.

I saw it, and Auburn's can be serviced just not the split case and obviously not the cones. I simply find it hard to believe that somebody out there doesn't have an old carrier just sitting around doing nothing I mean I have three just not split cases

Believe it. Thy are run until they are no good. The replaced with an Eaton lol.

Not that it helps (The split case unit I had I destroyed) but it was made by Borg Warner. Maybe someone on E bay may list it as such.

i had two in under three years.both bad.sent them back and they confirmed i did everything rite.no fault of my own.they refused to refund me any money upon showing summit invoices but wanted to send me a third....run far run fast.

When I blew the 2 pinion gears in an 7.5 auburn I switched it out to open carrier and ran with that till I found an 8.2 with an Eaton in it. The two pinion gears in the 7.5 auburn have no meat on them

I have an open I can use. I have a stock 301 that 7.5 isn't trembling in fear. Not even behind the T5. I called back home. My friend has a friend that owns a diff shop. He may have something.
Looking for a Both Warner is a good idea. Didn't think of that. Thanks

I agree with everyone else here, change it with an Eaton. They are good units and you can put any gear in it you want. But, I understand wanting to be cheap sometimes. It usually bites me in the *ss. But, once again, I feel your pain and went to my stash. Is this what you have? This is like a 2:42 gear or something like that but it is an Auburn Posi. It’s out of a 80 Malibu rear. Shipping might kill it to Texas. I don’t know. Let me know.
