Hi all , I need a little help . I’m having a problem breaking the trans from the engine. The trans crossmember is removed, 3 bolts removed from torque converter, 6 bolts removed from trans to block and all kinds of stuff disconnected with a jack under the motor and another under the trans. As far as I can tell there is not a bolt on the top center of the trans to the block.
I’m thinking it might be stuck on the locating pins and I should heat it up but figured I would ask if anyone has another idea.

Thanks for any help.

I have never seen the pins be an issue so to me 99% odds that's not the problem. Is the catalytic converter and mount still connected?
Only other thought i have is you missed one of the bellhousing bolts.
Can you take pictures?

I got 6 bolts out , I think it’s a th350 trans . No cat or brackets. It seems like I missed a bolt but I can’t find it

One last thought. Is the battery mounted in the back (spare tire area) and the ground goes to the transmission case? That might under certain circumstances weld the pins into the transmission case.

No not that but that’s thinking outside the box 👍
It should come free of the block unless the steel locating pins (2ea) have become "welded" to the aluminum transdue to the dissimilar metals. Spray penetran along the trans/engine mating surfaces as well as the location pins.
already sprayed the pins but I’ll do the mating surface
