Yea I just used the cover that comes with the mega shifter as a guide and re striped and polished it.

I also have a universal megashifter in my cutlass. It isnt the cleanest install of the century because I had previously cut up the inside of the console for a hurst dual gate shifter. I made a plate to mount the megashifter on and drilled holes into the plate to mount to the factory console shifter brackets on the trans tunnel, then drilled a hole in each corner to bolt long studs to and once everything was in place and snug, I dropped the megashifter top plate on the studs and threw some nuts on the studs. It looks OK, but not as clean of an install as everyone elses.

It doesn't have to be if you have a 8,000 RPM tach on your pillar

for a more stock look, I'm going to drill, bush, and tap a stock shifter knob to fit on the QuickSilver.

Now you're talkin'! That must be the old style Quicksilver from way back cuz they come with a much different shift indicator now. I'm probably going to do a custom indicator anyhow. Nice write up! Not many people seem to care when you put all that effort into it, but there are a few of us that are able to save a lot of time and trouble and are thankful.

I have a full write-up on how to put one in a late model GM pickup and make the dash shift indicator work too (over at performance trucks)

I really like this. I used to have a Megashifter installed in the factory consol but just switched to the Magnum Grip
Pro Stick. I wasn't going to try and install it in the consol but after seeing this I think i'm going to have to do it.
Do you have any other pics?

No I actually dont.......but this was a bench seat car........the console is from a Cutlass, the seats are from a 1993 Buick LeSabre both are the passenger seats....but I can tell you that the way that khan0165 did it is the right way to do it if your car is a factory console car.......notice where I mounted the console to have the shifter where it felt comfortable.....if it is not a factory console car it will take a different approach and this is where I got the idea.....this a great build also from where he started to where he is now is very impressive....the link.........

This console i had from another regal that i had, it was an n\a v6 with bucket seats, power windows and a floor shift from the factory. It was actually the exact color, pinstripe and all as my limited. The only difference was my v6 car had a vinyl top and no t-tops.
