back yard built 383 stroker

]figured id go ahead and toss up my build in the section, started out finding a pretty decent 305 monte carlo base model in homestead for 1200 that wouldn't start. after i got it home i shimmed the started bolts and it cranked right over when i tried to burn out to see if would leave 2 lines the car didn't have enough power to break the tires loose so i instantly thought. 350 swap is needed.

i got a pretty cheap l31 motor (free from a family member) that had stock 906 vortec heads on it

its dirty its ugly its got a blown headgasket

one of the 906's where cracked so there goes a cheap head to build from.

I started this build backasswards i bought a 383 kit then a cam and then heads lol
the kit included all this crap in the picture

the cam kit came with a complete valve train kit

then i bought a cheapy set of bare aluminum 2.02/1.60 2oocc runners and 64 cc chambers

im also doing a big shot of spray on this block,

3 washers under each starter bolt got this 305 started

AFTER an hour with the wire wheel and more purple power applied

i dropped this motor off to the R.A.C.E. performance in Davie ,fl a few days ago and im itching to get it back and start dropping that scat kit and all the other goodies into it

it took me about a year to gather it all together and im still working out the high stall tq and getting the rear end

Those seats are in boss mode. Are they just re-covers or where did you find those at? They would really set off the suede ceiling in my 88 Cutlass

when i bought the car the interior was already done i think they got the seats reupholstered here some more interior pics i think im going to rip it all out and recolor the panels only because they are looking straight out of the junk yard fresh lol
