what is this ball does it have anything to do with the AC? i pulled my ac/heater box so I’m just wondering if i need it. also the plastic cylinder next to it do i need it

The ball is the vacuum reservoir and it should be kept if you plan to still have heat and defrost. The cylinder is the EVAP can and its best to keep that too

That specific ball is for cruise. The two port ball is for hvac.

The cylinder is the charcoal canister. Keeps the gas smell down by shoving the fumes back into the engine.

why not keep it, it looks alot better than the Ford juice can vacuum reservoir......
