Barn find... Which G Body is this?

That looks like a Monte Carlo in the first photo. Can you get there in person anytime soon? If so, you can probably pick it up for 3K - 5K, just guessing. Be polite listen to his story and he might take a shine to you.

Yes, it is an ‘87-‘88 Monte Carlo LS. My brother had an ‘87 with t-tops, landau top and aluminum checker board wheels. And they are G-body, body on frame, not unibody.

I have an 80 malibu with a nine inch and turbo 350 combination. I went with Denny's Driveshaft. Their instructions were easy to fill out and you can call them with any questions you may have.
They are a little pricey but they do an excellent job and are very friendly! My driveshaft complete with yokes and u-joints and 500hp strength and shipping was just under $700.

That's alot for a driveshaft. A local guy did mine and I supplied the yoke for 350. He said it's good for 750 wheel in a drag racing application, more if it's not seeing hard launches.

Not sure how this morphed into a driveshaft discussion....

For the OP: If you tell us what you're looking for in a Malibu, we can probably point you in the right direction. Project? Roller? Driver? Drag car?

Might even be one less than 150 miles away from you.

I'm looking for a driver nothing too fancy... Don't mind doing a bit of work.
