BBC Oil Pan Clearance

So i put this 454 from a 79 2wd chevy pickup in my Malibu. When i look up aftermarket pans, spectra shows the same pan for this truck and a 70 chevelle. I'm worried that factory is different and spectra simply reproduces the same pan for all big blocks.

Do i now need to pull it out because i failed to research oil pan clearance?

No, pan to crossmember clearance. Its preventing my motor from tilting back, and my trans is currently up against the floor.

Used a super sunny s9294 (transdapt 9294, mr gasket 9779) along with a melling 305s oil pump pickup. Worked like a charm. SO well, in fact, i broke my heater box with the valve cover.....

why don't you just go get a chevelle pan....cheaper and they fit perfect!!

The s9294raw is a chevelle pan, cost me 50 bucks, bare steel
