Hey guys, looking into keeping the bench seat, but still going to a floor shifter. Pictures please. Was thinking B&M Unimatic shifter? Any ideas?

I have seen people do it but the shifter usually ends being too far forward and is awkward to shift.

Not a lot of room to work with.

Ever thought of using something like the Unimatic shifter, the stick shift hump, trim, & boot, then mounting it to look like a manual shifter? Would give some space between the dash & seat.

That might work and won't look as out of place as a standard style shifter.

That's the shifter I was thinking about. It looks good. I have seen pictures of a G body Malibu with a manual online. It looks like the same boot style, and I think it would look good. Not sure if I would keep the T handle, or go with a ball shifter knob instead

Lokar has floor shifters for bench seats. Their Muscle Car shifter (that I bought) looks like the 60s and 70s Muncie 4 speed shifter that came in many GM muscle cars.
