Anyone else a fan of the blackwall tire & wire wheelcover combo? I've loved that look since the '80s.

Real Nice 79 Monte Uncle Dan!
...And for some reason the blackwalls and wire wheel covers just seem to work.
Personally I'm a fan of the dual white stripe tire, next would be 3/16 thin white stripes or as I've had to settle with now white letter tires.
Torque Thrust wheels have always been my go to.

Nice looking Monte you have there! For me I don't like hubcaps, makes our cars look too old. If you had white letter tires I would be ok with that. If you like stock look, I like the factory rallies or N90 wheels the best. What are your plans for the car?

What are your plans for the car?

Thanks. Nothing major, I just plan enjoy the car. It's going to be a semi-daily driver as soon as I get some spare time to replace everything in the cooling system and get the brakes to bleed satisfactorily. Ultimately I'll upgrade the transmission to an overdrive unit and probably do some of the minor brake & suspension upgrades.
