Last few days i've been looking into upgrading my alternator along with the main charging and ground wires. I'm familiar with a 1wire alternator but what (if any) wire would be the wire I'd need to upgrade coming from the alternator. I have a cs alternator (3wire)

You would upgrade the wire that runs from the alt directly to the battery. For the grounds, ugrade the battery to fender wire & engine to firewall wire to a thick gauge wire. Your battery to engine wire is likely already large gauge. You can also add a ground from the battery to a point on the frame. I would run 4 gauge or bigger for everything.

correction the alternator is an si series alt. And thanks Evan's 85. But i guess what i'm trying to confirm is exactly what wire on the alternator is going to the battery. I'm thinking the one that bolts to the back of the case.

Ideally you want to use 0 gauge wire.

This is what I ended up with. Left is is the battery to frame, battery to engine, and engine to chasis ground wires.
