Blazer brakes dust shield and hose questions.

I have a few questions regarding Blazer brakes. The set I bought does not have dust shields, I suppose these act as spacers for the hub bearings, and need either a complete shield or delete shims. I am planing just using the stock size Blazer rotors and calipers with my 15 inch T type rims. Should the Blazer shield be able to fit 15 inch rims of should I go with delete shims?

As for hoses, I am really confused. Seems everybody has done it differently. Some guys say you just need s SAE to metric line adaptor. Other guys say G body hoses fit, and others say to use Corvette hoses.

These will fit your 15" wheels with no problem. I'm pretty sure that the Blazer used 14" wheels.
If you're not gonna run the dust shield, then yes, you will need to fabricate a spacer to replace it.
I used my stock G body hoses and brackets and fit with no issues. Was truly a "bolt on" deal.

G body hoses fit fine. 15" wheels work fine since that is what Blazers came with from the factory.

Just remember to check your lock to lock for interference against the upper A-arms. I had to clearance mine, and still need to do a little more on the passenger side (lose brake pedal after full right lock- usually parking).

With the stock GBody hoses they get pretty tight and you have to cut off the protective sleeve for them to fit properly.

The 2WD 2 door, 2WD 4 door, and the 4WD 4 door ALL USE DIFFERENT FRONT BRAKE HOSES.

If you use the 2WD 4 DOOR front hoses you DO NOT need any adapters BUT you do need the Blazer frame brake hose bracket

Yes but you loose that layer of protection, that keeps it from kinking where the end is pressed on.

Will hose brackets from a 4WD Blazer work? The brake set I bought did not have the frame hose brackets, and 2WD Blazers are scarce in my area. None of the local junkyards have 2WD models.

Warning: Just leave your stock factory G body brake hose brackets installed. The Blazer brackets contacted my 15" wheels at close to full steering lock! I re-installed the G Body Brackets and problem solved!
