body bushings- replacement

I used big *ss jack stands with 4x4's across. At the front the rocker panels sat on it, and at the back in the wheel wells due to the spare tire hump getting in the way. Shell doesnt weigh much, any metal worth keeping should hold no problem under its weight. I screwed some scrap plywood to the 4x4 around the jackstands incase the 4x4 should want to roll. Can kinda see it in pic

G-Body_Vet...I just raised mine with a jack and 4x4's till it was high enough to roll out the frame with 4 donuts on it. I supported the car with a 4x4 under the front where the A pillars are and another just in front of the rear wheel openings. The 4x4's extended about a foot on each side of the car and sat on axle stands...something similar to what Carlola did and like he said the body of the car isn't that heavy and if you have some healthy friends you can raise the body by lifting it manually.

I'm reviving this one from the dead.....

Well anyway, does anyone have a proven method of lifting the body from the frame for an extended period of time? My plan is to SAFELY lift the body high enough from the frame so it can be coated, maybe 8" to 12" at most. As much as I'd like to just roll it out from under the car, I don't have the space to store it separately from the car....working with one stall right now. I'm thinking I can pull this off with my ginormous jackstands and some 4x4's. I just don't want to risk crushing the floorboards. For those that don't know, there's no eng, trans or front clip on the car either.

I have tools, jacks, jackstands, etc, so that's no problem. I'm planning to drop the gas tank and rear end at some point too.
I've read through the how-to on the GN site, but like I said this might need to be in the air for at least a week or two. I'm sure I could figure it out but I'd like to hear input if you've done this before. Thx.
I surfed sites for days trying to get a good idea how to do this, I have 2x6 piled 4 high sitting on the frame holding the body up but am stumped how to hold it up without using the frame. I want to work on the bottom of the body aswell as the frame so I want to be sure it wont let go

Did you guys try pst for the rad support bushings, and if they dont sell it separatly call them i called them before acus the part i was looking for wasnt listed and they got it for me when i had my camaro.

I've seen people use long 4x4s that will reach at least 2 or 3 feet past the sides of the body and set those on cinder blocks sitting out side of the body.
