Hey i have an 87 cutlass supreme brougham with massive amounts of body roll. I've swapped the olds 307 (rod knock) for a chevy 350 and I'd like to stiffen up the suspension a bit, on a cheaper budget. Already obtained and mounted a rear sway bar i retrieved from a junk yard, does anyone else have any ideas on how to help stiffen it up further? i do know i need new shocks, mine are shot lol
Thanks in advance guys

theres a "sticky" thread prob. in the suspension topiccon all the factory option body and frame bracing. they help quite a bit, but not as much as big swaybars, and all the high dollar shtuff.

Its probly a good idea to change all the shocks and springs beforehand because with sh*t shocks and coils your only gonna improve your ride so much. Whos knows if you get the new ones on it might fix the problem enough for your liking  !

id try to find an f41 front bar (32mm) or a z28 34mm bar or a iroc 36mm bar, springs and shocks are also in order. In my 87 monte ss i got rid of my f41 bars for UMI front and rears and it was a night a day difference, then i added RUCA's and RLCA's noticed some improvements but nothing like the swaybars, now im going with SPC lowering springs and that should really get it to where i want.

Also oily body mounts will also help with body roll

a good high quality shock and F41 springs would definetly help. i love the way my 87 handles and it has all stock components in it with a larger tire. i want to get the brace kit from g body parts and a nice set of bilstein shocks in future

Adding a rear sway bar is a good start. Regardless of whether you stay with the standard front bar or upsize, urethane sway bar bushings and harder end link bushings are a must. Probably the most important factor in controlling roll are your shocks, so don't scrimp in that area. Good shocks and sway bars can help to compensate for a softer spring, but absolutely nothing can offset bad shocks, so that's where I would pay the most attention.
