Re: $500 Parts Car, Steal or Rip off?

I completely agree with Blake442. That thing can easily be parted out. Posi rear end, F41 if equipped, bucket seats and console, dash, fiber optic fender lights... List goes on and on. There's someone selling Cutlass reclining bucket seat side chrome covers for something like $60 a piece on eBay and they aren't even in that good of shape. If you have the space to part it out and store some parts until you can get what you want I say go for it. If anything like posted above you can always go to this car and grab what you need for something else.

cool.
if you have any parts left over when your done with it let me know. if there's anything i could use on my malibu i might be interrested

Need more opinions of what you guys think of me buying for 500$ with a turbo 350 and 305 engine. I think I got myself a deal, what do you guys think

:bump:

I think you got a good deal. You could part it out, keep it the way it is and drive the wheels off of it, or just take it apart and use the parts for yours

Rereading this made me step back and take another look at this for a moment (maybe it was the hootch). Okay, here's my logic: We're looking at this the wrong way cuz we all have one, but... these are 25 year old cars (give or take). Gonna eventually be damn near impossible to find in saaaay.. 10 or 15 more years. So I think you woulda kicked yourself if you didn't.

Good deal in my book
