Brake line replacement

Probably a very amateur question, but when you replace the brake lines, do you have to go with pre-bent hard lines? Or can you just run flex line (ex: russell teflon/stainless 3AN line)?
 
You should use hard line for the replacement. The only area that should have flexible line should be where the O.E. flex hoses are used.
