Never came to be... Wife twisted and wrenched about me buying it too long... I wasnt buying without her consent and someone bought it before I could get her "convinced"....so Im back in the hunt...sigh. Part of the issue is needs to be a warm weather commute/fun vehicle. I already have my Recaro TA as my baby and my '92 Silverado for winter and hauling/towing... She has the 2015 GMC Acadia... she prefer I at least get something that has solid floors...LOL

I have been looking for an excuse to go to the Carlisle meet. On the off chance you find one in the Southwest you like, all you have to do is persuade my wife to let me drive out to there...
For example: http://santafe.craigslist.org/cto/5005032448.html
You'd just have to haul it home from PA...

Tempting offer indeed... not that patticular perhaps... but then again.

UPDATE:
Im still on the hunt... saw a Ttop GP w/305, factory gauges and tach on Long Island... after a lot of conversation with the owner and a number of pictures... I decided it wasnt worth the effort... car is now down to $800... Problems are the owner believes he ovetheated the engine and cracked a head... no biggie, but then in a later conversation, he let it slip that its been sitting fora number of years... in his pics he sent there are rot holes in the quarters behind the stainless trim in the trunk... which means the rockers likely too... the Tbar looked good, but the drivers side corner of the windshield/pillar/Ttop section is rotted/ ugly... someone else can try to save it, but to me it's better off as a parts car.

So, Im still on the hunt for a '78-81 LeMans, '78-80 Grand Am, or '81-87 Grand Prix... Id take a '77-80 Bonneville/Catalina B-Body too... seems the few around here are beat to death or Donk'd (ick)

don't give up on your hunt! also think a little outside the box as far as searching... I wanted a GP t-top for years (I was looking for one when I bought my 2nd choice Regal 15 years ago), and finally found one 3 months ago at an estate auction... looked at it at a scheduled time the day before the auction, and won the bidding the next day for $650. solid floors and t-top front section. city auctions and estate auctions are options in the hunt!

good luck in the search!

I always have my eyes open for the same cars. I'd love to find a '79 Bonneville, especially the uber rare one with the buckets and floor shifter. I've only seen one ever! The '81 LeMans is hard to come by too, but I love that front end. I remember when you could find these cars all day long but that's not the case anymore. Good luck with the search!

Go on facebook.search and join gas of new england.there is a pretty nice GP in my area on there with a built small block in it for around 3,000.00.its also been on craigslist boston

Ive seen the car but havent been able to check it out.looks like a decent car.
