I found a set of '87 Monte buckets at my local yard. I just wanted to confirm a couple of things with the great minds 🙂 on the board. They should fit my '86 Regal correct? - It has the slit bench that I'm changing out for them.

Second, about what would be a fair price. I hav,'t talked to the yardsman' yet, but the seats are in a pretty smashed up Monte that has been exposed to the elements. The seat frames are rusted and the cloth is torn up. This yard is pretty cheap as far as prices go- I got a console shift column and floor shifter for $100. Just wanted some ideas on possible pricing for these. Thanks,

RT

i believe that the buckets use the same mounting brackets as the split bench, so the should bolt right in. The seats will fit as most g-body parts are inter changeable. As for the price, i wouldnt pay more than 150-175, and thats considering there in good condition.

are they reclining?

I should have checked. What do you think the price difference would be if they are?

PS- I found a really cool Lemear steering wheel on a 66 MG coupe that was in back- Its a 3 spoke, 3 hole leather wrapped wheel. What do you think of British parts in American cars? Better than Chinese I think. 🙂

i dont know if there should be a price difference depending on if they are reclining or not. i was just wondering because those ones are a little rare compared to non reclinable. It also depends if thats something you value, if you do than maybe i would pay more up towards the 175 area but wouldnt go higher than that.

Update!

I bought the seats. Very good price, under $100.- and they arn't torn or beat up 🙂

Okay, heres the kicker- the driver seat was missing the track, but the passenger had it. I used the track from the driver slit bench in place of the bucket's missing track, only to realize that the outboard (left) track is slightly different for the buckets than the bench. On the left track, the mounting plates extend out to the left- the bench ones extend straight ahead. The differnce of one maybe two inches.

I should have known better, but anyhow, now I need the track for a driver side bucket seat. Anyone have it?
