I'am not sure if you have to get/make brackets or not.I take it your car didn't have buckets, so it might be a good
idea to look for an car that had them and take what you need or as you said in your post, make a brackett.
I'am sure someone will chime in.

If your car has the 60/40 split bench seat, you should already have the mounting brackets on the floor. If you have a straight bench, you will need the inner brackets welded to the floor. They are available from Mikesmontes.com, or you can cut them out of a a donor car and weld them in. Seats from any G-body will bolt right in. Seats from an F-body will work, with some very slight massaging of the mounts, as will most buckets from a GM car in the 80-early 90's vintage. S-10 seats will fit as well.

Will 00-02 camaro seats fit

Don't know for sure- may need a little work on the brackets, and if they are power, you will need to figure out the power leads. For sure they will be easier than the Acura seats I installed. I would certainly consider them.

Here is a elco with the bench seat out and seat mounts for buckets welded in, the seats are 2001 MC black leather in hopefully good shape after cleaning if not theres more in the yards.
Before the mounts

After the mounts

the rails from a bucket Gbody on this seat

in place, we test fitted the doors with the armrests on and they close the console is tight but fits.

I did about the same thing. I used 2003 Grand Prix GTP seats and console. The tracks from my old seats had to be adapted to the 03 seats but the 03 seat control switch wired directly to the G body motors and track color for color.

Post a pic ofem

Camaro seats will work but you'll need to use G-Body tracks/adjusters. I'm using Firebird seats in my car and have already test fitted them using the G-Body adjusters. So, find a pair of Monte Carlo, Grand Prix, Malibu, Cutlass, Grand National/Regal, etc seat adjusters and you're good to go. ...

Go here to see my junk and the test fit. viewtopic.php?f=38&t=33896&start=150
