Hey g body fam i jus picked up a set of 03 Monte seats to swap out into my malibu i was trying to find out how to mount the seats to the g body tracks because i dont see any threads, do you use nuts and bolts? Appreciate any help and photos if available I know this is a dumb question but I just needed to know
I am currently in the process of installing '97 Cutlass seats in my '78 Caballero daily driver. I did the passenger side this last weekend, and hope to find the time to do the driver side next weekend. I don't know what platform the '03 Monte is based on, but you may have to design your own set of seat brackets to adapt to the gbody floor. I followed the guidelines found in the thread "how-to install wbody seats in a gbody" by 81cutlass.
If you have some tools and a bench vise, you should have no problems with the conversion. You might have to purchase an oddball set of metric external torx sockets, and visit the hardware store for some metric nuts and bolts, plus metal stock to create your brackets.
